The 300 Year View:
Cellular Transitions
A Wildcrafters Design Camp in the forest that examines the future of living, work, community and the wild.

The great changes that are emerging are “cellular” as the Earth, our bodies, consciousness, and our sense of place transition to become more localized. We are abandoning failed systems of hierarchal management and instead, we are empowering ourselves to once again become “mystics” and the "stewards" of Planet Earth. We know what needs to be done, but we must learn guiding and navigation skills, which considers a long view that is multi-generational. This camp contains a dynamic analysis of the micro-trends, which are changing the world closest to us – the cellular world of living, work and community.

Participants in this camp will learn to  connect with the living forest so that they can understand natural whole systems so that they can design a better life, connected to the wild.
Become a Master Wildcrafter
Wildcraft Forest School is the first educational center to offer a Wildcrafting Bioregional Studies Certificate(WBSC) and a Wildcraft Practitioners Diploma (WPD) for Master Wildcrafters. The school operates within a co-mentorship structure and connects students with ancient Shamanic teachings. The Wildcrafting Bioregional Studies Certificate is intended to strengthen Permaculture Design Courses and offers students an opportunity to learn and practice stewardship, restoration and harvesting in remote wildland areas. The following represents the course offerings presently avaiable for at Bioregional Studies Certificate(WBSC).

The Wildcraft Forest is a working
plantation and farm and it is also a
workshop centre and wildcraft farm school.
We issue a Wildcraft Practitioners Diploma. We offer seasonal classes, seminars, fieldtrips and workshops which provide an inspirational and creative environment for students ranging from children to adults and from beginners to professionals. The studio village has been operating as a workshop centre for over 30 years. We seek to bring quality programming, from leading edge artists, thinkers and do’ers locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. Our scope is to link the arts, creativity, permaculture, food, wellness and activism with wildcrafting.

Wildcrafters Promise
This wildcrafting camp can be applied towards the Bioregional Studies Certificate (WBSC) offered by the Wildcraft Forest School.

Wildcraft Forest School presents a courses within a study series that will lead to a Wildcrafting Bioregional Studies Certificate, which is the foundation for further wildcrafting work and study and a prerequisite for a Wildcraft Practitioners Diploma.
The First Circle: An Introduction
Wildcrafters in a Non-State World
Wildcrafting may be the only field occupation linked to the interpretation of quantum mechanics and specifically through the engagement of Biosemiotics. Biosemiotics combines semiotics and biology in order to study the production and interpretation of signs and codes in nature and the biological realm. Biosemiotics attempts to integrate the findings of biology and semiotics and proposes a paradigmatic shift in the scientific view of life, demonstrating that semiosis (sign process, including meaning and interpretation) is one of the immanent and intrinsic features of a living and sentient Earth. This first section introduces wildcrafting as a means of design that includes an understanding of the Holographic Incentive Process, Buddhist Economics and Bioregionalism. This first section includes an analysis of present and future trends that will engage participants in the following areas covered by the Design camp:
  • Learning regenerative methods and engage with saving Planet Earth.
  • Developing a clear understanding of present and future trends and how the world is changing, and how you need to prepare for the “long view”.
  • Link “living” systems with your life plan so that you can be closer to the Earth.
  • The nurturing of “natural leadership” through co-mentoring.
  • Tangible tools and confidence that will help you succeed in making your life shift.
  • Seeding new healthy relationships.
  • Propagating a new narrative for your “self” and your story.
  • An understanding of how a forest, frequencies and elements can serve as a life navigation guide.

The Second Circle:
The Future of Food and Medicine
The market accessibility for certain foods, medicines and even décor and other cultural themes will be shifting because of growing populations worldwide. “Local” food production will become a primary business throughout the world. It becomes important to understand “value chains” and how to develop them. We will be exploring the opportunities that exist as the food retail and wholesale sectors shift as food becomes more localized. Consumers are recognizing that the industrialization of medicine is creating significant problems. There are growing trends towards less processing and more “whole” nature-based medicines. We will be exploring the opportunities that exist as new trends in health and medicines emerge. This section will be exploring ways by which you can begin to export products and services to meet new Greener market demands. Learn how communities and even neighborhoods can make cross-border trade agreements that can nurture cultural exchanges.

The Third Circle:
The Future of Action and Leadership
The social, political and economic landscape by which corporations and non-governmental organizations operate within are quickly changing – this then reflects on the future role of activism. We will be exploring the local and global trends that will be impacting NGO’s and ethical businesses and the opportunities that emerging for doing good work linked to activism. The world is going through significant changes and strong local leadership and stewardship defined by consensus building will be key for communities to survive. We will be exploring elements of leadership that includes activism, good work and even new boycotting frameworks.

The Fourth Circle:
An Off-the-Grid Future
As energy and communication become democratized there will opportunities for creating new locally owned power and communication grids. We will be exploring ways that you can take your home, neighbourhood or community off-grid. Public lands or “The Commons” is becoming stressed as major corporations seek to make tenure deals with government. We will be exploring what “tenure” is and how to obtain land, create a home and become independent for the long term.

Forest Experience: Being Designed by a Living Forest
The Wildcrafter’s Design Camp features forest demonstration sessions where participants explore certain challenges that will help them experience new methods of gaining focus and energy. We are Gaia’s imagination and immersion in the natural world allows us to find a place of connection for greater creativity and purpose because we are free to be happy. If you are absorbed and relaxed, chances are your parasympathetic system is happy and your immune system is going to get a boost because the forest provides the phytoncides, mycobacterium vaccae, negative air ions, vitamin D-producing sunlight, and other active ingredients that lead to better physical and mental health.

Forest Experience: Designing a Wild Life Path
In a forest environment participants are introduced to life planning mapping. The forest is a single living organism it connects everything. Wildcrafting presents a form of deep ecology that demonstrates how this world is sentient and that the beauty that nature presents to us moves us far beyond our present comprehension. This experience will encourage you to breathe deeply so that you can renew the love within yourself and with everything around you which offers you a deeper and clearer intuition and energy; increased ability to communicate with ecosystems and eros or life force – and a greater sense of joy and community – all of this is essential for creating your own life path.

Sacred Fire Circle: Elemental Vision
Ancient wisdom shared around a sacred fire.

Each participant will experience four Camp Circles and a series of deep forest activities.

We are abandoning failed systems of hierarchal management and instead, we are empowering ourselves to once again become “mystics” and the "stewards" of Planet Earth. Participants will learn to connect with the living forest so that they can understand natural whole systems so that they can design a better life, connected to the wild.

Wild Dynamics: Wildcrafting by Design is a six-month distance-learning program, which includes seven sections that are delivered through online components which are then combined with outdoor fieldwork as well as guided interactions and challenges within the natural world. During this course you will be assigned a Wild Skills Guide who will provide you with online and phone support in an effort to help you become strengthened as your own guide, and able to explore the designs of wildcrafting.
