Many simply wish to participate in what we call Legacy Work.
Legacy Work is the quiet, enduring work that leaves the world more beautiful than we found it.
It may involve restoring habitat, planting trees, cultivating medicinal plants, creating educational resources, developing regenerative enterprises, preserving traditional knowledge, supporting research, or helping shape a community dedicated to ecological stewardship.

A Different Way of Belonging
The Sanctuary Commons is founded on a simple belief:

Many members maintain homes elsewhere while embracing the Sanctuary Commons as their place of retreat, creativity, renewal, and contribution. Others seek a longer relationship with the land and the Fellowship, becoming part of an evolving community that values simplicity, generosity, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
There is no expectation that every member participates in every activity.
The Fellowship honours different seasons of life.

A Living Forest of Possibilities
Wildcraft Forest is a working landscape where restoration, education, craftsmanship, and enterprise exist together.
Throughout the year, members may choose to engage with a rich diversity of experiences inspired by the rhythms of the land.
These include ecological restoration, wildcrafting, herbal studies, creative arts, forest-based learning, regenerative agriculture, habitat enhancement, publishing, research, seasonal gatherings, contemplative practice, and community events.
Members also enjoy opportunities to experience additional forests stewarded through the Wildcraft Forest vision, extending the sense of sanctuary beyond a single place.

Growing Older in Beauty
Modern society often tells us that aging is a process of withdrawal.
We believe it can become a process of deepening.
The Sanctuary Commons is inspired by the possibility that our later years may become among our most creative, generous, and fulfilling.
