I promise to dedicate my life to the protection of Planet Earth and her organic multidimensional systems and to elements of sentient stewardship driven by “agape” principles. I will take personal responsibility for the human presence on Planet Earth; and will seek to solve problems and restore her natural systems that support life and the presence of being.

Mystery School
With the Earth being placed at risk it has become necessary to find, educate and initiate new keepers of ancient wisdom. In every Wildcraft Forest School course new keepers have emerged and in order to further support this effort we have made public our Mystery School that will share the “lesser mysteries” in this realm we call "wild mysticism".

An Elder Coach Certification Program that helps seniors, their companions and family to reconnect with nature.

We are living in an age where more of our Elders are becoming isolated both physically and emotionally. This certification program is for those people who want to help Elders, their companions and families to reconnect in a meaningful way by helping them to engage with the natural world, storytelling and Earth Mysteries.

Elderhood
Hans Christian Andersen said, “Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.” For our Elders there is a primary need for better health. Osteoporosis, arthritis, hearing impairment, and incontinence are all common conditions as we grow older.

But there are other needs such as maintaining and creating meaningful relationships and community; access to whole natural foods and medicines; and experiential routines that includes physical activity, comfort and inspiration.

By Rewilding Elderhood we can begin meeting these needs. Exposure to “living air” can give a seniors’ immune system a major boost that improves their overall cardiovascular and metabolic health. This fresh air is full of healthful chemicals from plants that can help our bodies produce more white blood cells to battle viruses and inflammation.

Spending time in nature can help improve our moods, and reduce feelings of depression, stress, and anxiety; those who spend more time with nature report having healthier blood pressure, a lower heart rate, and less stress.

Getting to spend time outside, even for a few moments a day, could lead to a big burst of healthy energy for aging adults. Going outside can help older adults get some Sun, which in turn helps lead to healthier Vitamin D levels. Vitamin D has been connected to increased energy, improved mood, and better overall physical health, for people of all ages.

The Rewilding Elderhood Program expands opportunities for Elders to tell their story and to connect with the “spirit” of nature and the forest. This unique training connects participants with the “Guardian Spirit Complex” which is an ancient phenomenon of considerable cultural, social and psychological significance for the great majority of indigenous societies throughout the ages. It can compliment any spiritual, cultural or religious belief. This becomes a key component for supporting Elders as they navigate the mysteries and healing powers found in the natural world. This program teaches methods whereby a coach can travel their participants into an understanding of plant spirit medicine in conjunction with issues associated with “meaning and purpose”.

The program teaches the elements of nature-based sentience; how to create a relationship with nature and how to move slowly and thoughtfully in nature.

Elder Coaches will learn  to deliver a five session Rewilding Elderhood Program that includes:

  • An introduction to wild relationships in nature and the wild garden. Nurturing a pan-spiritual understanding of faith and its importance.

  • Exercising methods for strengthening natural intuition and cognition.

  • Methods of outdoor meditation, ceremony and observation which stretches the participants dwell time in the natural world.

  • Storytelling and journaling using print and audio methods.

  • Nurturing better living, diet, companionship and community.

This program is ideal for those people seeking to add special training to their existing counseling, outdoor or wellness portfolio. This online training program is delivered within pdf document study guides, video presentations and optional online group interactions. Participants are encouraged to learn and engage at their own speed and comfort levels. Upon successful completion participants will be offered an Elder Coach Certification.

This distance learning program is designed so that you work at your own pace. The cost is $520 (Canadian Dollars) per person.
